February 2023 New Zealand Cyclone Gabrielle - Enabling 7000 Crisis Support© Blends to Help People and Animals in Distress, in Collaboration with with Anna, Gaia and Shanti

We have donated 100 x 10ml stock bottles (valued $3300) to enable 7000 x 25ml Crisis Support© blends to be created for people and animals in distress

In the aftermath of Cyclone Gabrielle amidst the devastation that affected many parts of New Zealand, it has been inspirational to see selfless members of our community helping people and animals in distress with First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® blends.

Hundreds of bottles of First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® have been handed to people around the country, in places like Te Awamutu, Hastings, Patoka and Muriwai, by our students, clients, practitioners and tutors who are helping those in need.

First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® have donated 100 x 10ml stock combination essence bottles of First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® Crisis Support©  (valued at $3300) to enable approximately 7000 x 25ml Crisis Support© flower essence blends to be created. The Crisis Support© blends will be distributed at no cost to support people and animals in distress in the Hawkes Bay region that was devastated by Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023.

Who is distributing the blends and WHY?

Before Cylcone Gabrielle hit New Zealand, Anna Gentry, First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® tutor, educator and trauma specialist and her two daughters Gaia (18 years old) and Shanti (15 years old) Aplin planned to join friends and community in Hawke's Bay to partake in the LandRover Horse of the Year event that was to take place in early March 2023.

Instead, after the devastating effects of the cyclone, the mother and daughter team is setting off to travel down the country from Tutukaka Coast, Whangarei in their horse truck to deliver Crisis Support© blends to people and animals in distress.

The 25ml Crisis Support© flower essence blends will be made up and distributed by Anna Gentry, Gaia and Shanti.

How you can support Anna, Gaia, Shanti and this Community Support Initiative

More help is needed! Gaia and Shanti took the initiative immediately after the event and 150 blends have already been sent to the Hawkes Bay community

Gaia and Shanti Aplin, are young talented and aspiring Equestrians. Their public profile Wild Kids - Wild Kais shares their journey adopting and training the Wild Kaimanawa horses who are mustered and rehomed every 2 years in New Zealand as well as their other equestrian dreams and aspirations.

The two sisters have already made up and donated over 150 bottles of First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® Crisis Support© of their own initiative to the Equestrian community. These blends were taken to the affected area by an emergency supplies helicopter straight after the Cyclone Gabrielle devastated the region.

More blends are needed so we have donated 100 bottles of Crisis Support© stock essences to enable the girls make up thousands more blends to take with them on their horse truck to help animals and people who are in distress.

Gaia says:

"We know this is only a drop in the ocean of what we would like to get there.

It's our way to help with the trauma, overwhelm, despair, loss, grief and so much more.

We have grown up using First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® and I (Gaia) am a trained First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® practitioner as of last year. We are also lucky to have our mum's (Anna Gentry) guidance who is a trauma specialist working with First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand®.

We know how life changing and supportive these essences are in times of crisis for both us humans and our animals.”

Teaming up with a well known equestrian Vicky Wilson to assist community and animals with the clean up and recovery in Hawkes Bay

When in Hawkes Bay, Gaia, Shanti and Anna will also be meeting with well-known equestrian Vicki Wilson to assist in what will be a very long clean up and recovery.

Home-schooled, both girls assist their parents (Anna Gentry and Dean Aplin) daily in facilitating nature and equine therapeutic programmes in Northland, working with young people in need, so assisting those who have experienced trauma is part of their everyday world. They are bringing their experience and passion for helping others to this community support project.
