First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand®

Minako Hama entered the field of natural therapies in 1996 as an aromatherapist.

At a time when aromatherapy was still relatively uncommon in Japan, she began working to promote and educate others in this field.

From 2005 onward, she spent 15 years providing aromatherapy within psychiatric day-care settings, supporting clients experiencing psychological challenges and training many professional practitioners.

In 2008, Minako encountered First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® and studied directly with Franchelle Ofsoské-Wyber and Tony Wyber. She was deeply inspired by First Light®’s progressive and comprehensive holistic approach, as well as its profound capacity to facilitate healing and awareness at a soul level.

After completing her First Light® College of New Zealand Native Flower Essence Therapy tutor training, Minako became the only authorised First Light® tutor in Japan in 2010 and founded New Zealand Flower Essences Japan. Since then, she has facilitated First Light® workshops and training programs nationwide, supporting the education of certified practitioners and the growth of the First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® community in Japan.

Holding Aotearoa as her spiritual home, Minako continues to share the unique qualities of New Zealand’s plant world and the distinctive methodology of First Light® through consultations, workshops, and seminars throughout Japan.
